How WE became US
Phillip and I met on Myspace on January 1, 2008. I was at a friends house for New Years Eve that year and once the festivities settled down and the clock struck 12 I decided to go my Myspace and wish everyone a Happy New Year and all that jazz. So I signed on checked my things and a message appeared. It said (this is the actual message) Sorry to have friend you outta the blue, I just recently moved up here and I dont knw any1. lol. I figured myspace would help get 2knw people round here but that aint goin to well either. Well thanx for the add and hope to hear from u soon. Once I read it I responded and we talked back and forth for a day or two through Myspace. After that we started talking on AIM then I gave him my number so he could call me. When he called me he sounded so cute with his Southern accent :). We decided to meet not long after we started talking so we planned to meet at the only place he knew how to get to, the DMV. After I got my two safety nets together, my two friends, we set out to meet him. We waited for what seemed like for ever and I thought he wasn't going to show up until I see this huge white Ford F250 with a brown door! LOL We all talked for a while and decided to head to a diner because it was too cold to stand outside and chat. The story goes on and on and on and we just got together. Pretty much after that night we talked every day and that weekend went out bowling with some friends then after that we were inseparable!
The Proposal
He told me about a week in advanced of the day of the proposal that we were going to be going somewhere on Saturday, May 23. I asked him a million times what we were doing and he would never tell me. I really wanted to know why I had to by up at 430 on a Saturday morning...
So finally Saturday rolls around and we woke up really early, which I was NOT happy about, and left the house before 5 a.m.. After what seemed like hours of driving we got to a place called Bird-in-Hand and when we finally took the last turn I saw a hot air balloon!! I had been on one once before and told him how exciting it was, I had also mentioned once that I wanted to go on one and be proposed to but it honestly never crossed my mind. I had NO CLUE what he was going to do!
The flight took off around 600am and we floated up and up and up to about 3500 ft. It was almost like Phillip had been cued by the pilot because once he said we had reached 3500 ft Phillip asked the pilot to take a picture of us and when I turned around he was on one knee asking me to marry him!!! I just started crying and said of course I will!!
